V-Day Weekend 2015

It was the PERFECT weekend!  Date night with Steve on Friday at Beef N Bottle (Amazing), a friend's daughter's birthday party on Saturday and a whole day to myself on Sunday to clean and put my house back together.

Here's a look back at our weekend...............

I have been wanting to try Beef N Bottle for a very long time.  We had a blast!  We ordered apps, ate great steak, lobster, dessert and managed to polish off 2 bottles of vino!  The place had a great old timey feel with Johnny Cash playing in the background.  It was a truly memorable date night, one that I hope to repeat next year!  :)

On Saturday, one of my girlfriend's daughter turned 5.  Look who showed up!  Elsa and Anna!
These two were amazing.  They read the book version of Frozen to all the kiddos, sang songs, did a craft with the kids, etc.  It was a lot of fun.

On Sunday, Steve took Lottie to the doctor.  It turns out she has an ear infection. :(  He then took the girls out for most of the day so that I could deep clean and get our house back to normal!  They had a blast.  It sounds like he just let them run wild at Toys R Us.  Good Daddy!  :)  After they got home, I told them they needed a nap.  I heard Lottie secretly telling Stella that she had a spot for her in her bed.  They both snuck off to Lottie's bed.  All I could hear were giggles and Lottie reading Stella a book.   It was so freaking sweet.  I had to get a pic.  But as you can tell, there wasn't a whole lot of napping going on.  Girls!!!!

Hope you all had a great v-day weekend!

Lottie & Stella's Fall Festival

The girls had their annual fall festival at their "school" a couple of weeks ago.  They were pumped up to play games and get treats from all their teachers.  Lottie even won herself some cupcakes during the cake walk.

It was also the first time the girls got to put their costumes on.  I swear I don't think I've ever seen a cuter Minnie Mouse before.  Stella really fought me on the ears, but after bribing her with a sucker, she soon changed her tune!

Stella has never really experienced "candy" before.  I think she absolutely lost her mind with excitement.  I finally had to hide the plastic pumpkin filled with candy last night.  When she sees it, she literally starts trying to climb the cabinets / chairs, whatever is in her way to get to it.

Lottie originally wanted to be Elsa from Frozen, but in the end changed her mind and decided to be Anna.  Her wig cracked me up!

Of course Stella got Lottie's hand me down costume from last year.  Poor kid!  Everything Stella wears is hand me downs.

Do You Want To Build A Snowman - Lottie

A day in the life of our car ride home from school every day..........................................

I bought the Frozen soundtrack about a month or two back and it is all I listen to when the kids are in the car.  Not going to lie though - it is pretty good and I secretly love it!  Sssshhhhhhhhhh

Seriously though, hearing Lottie and now Stella belt out these Frozen tunes really makes my heart smile!  Is there anything sweeter than listening to a child laugh and sing?

Lottie's First Movie - FROZEN

Over the Christmas break, Lottie and I decided to venture out to see her first movie in the theatre.  We were both pretty excited about Frozen.  As we should have been.  The movie was really great.  The perfect first movie for a little girl!  She was the absolute perfect age to see a movie.  She sat through the entire time.  We ordered a small bag of popcorn and that was all she wrote.  We snacked and drank bottled waters I stuffed in my purse and little chocolates I also stuffed in my purse.  Ha!!  Reminded me of going to the movies with my mom.  She would fill her purse full of candies, chips, juice boxes, etc. from Eckerds right before walking into the movie.  The good ole days........  I wish she could have joined us to watch this movie.

The first movie my mom ever took me to was Bambi.  And let me tell you, it was a tearjerker!!!

Frozen was such a cute movie though.  Although, it has been so long since I have been to a theater, I couldn't believe how many PREVIEWS there were.  OOC!  Oh well, once it got going, it was very, very cute!!!  I may have even teared up in the end!
