Spring School Photos 2015

School photos wouldn't be school photos without at least a couple of awkward photos from the kiddos now would it?

The culprit this time around is Stella!  I swear I sent her to school with a bow ready to be put in her hair by her teachers.  Who knows if it even made it there?  I suppose I should just be happy that they make it to school every morning with their teeth brushed and their hair combed right?  Or at least I hope they do (Steve does drop offs every day).  :)  

Without further ado................

I guess they came the day before to do the classroom photos.  I literally laughed out loud when I came across this photo!  Stella looks so rock and roll, it is not even funny.  Between her hair, that Beatles t-shirt and her black boots, I was rolling!

Lottie's photos came out adorable!  She is just growing way too fast!  I want to keep her at this age forever!

Last but not least - my sweet girls!  Honestly, they are both at the most perfect ages.  I want to keep them like this forever!  Time - please slow down!!!!!!!!!!!!!

World's Worst School Pictures - Take 2!

Anyone remember this post I did in the Spring?  World's Worst School Pictures??????

I didn't think there was ever any chance my girls could pull off more awkward photos than the ones they had done in the Spring, but somehow they managed! 

Where do I start?  Anyone have any idea if that is a bear or a bunny?  I don't even want to know how many kids have held, snotted, sneezed, spit or whatever on that thing.  Based on Lottie's expression, I think she must be wondering the same..........  "Wait, you want me to hold this?"

Somehow this kid manages to get herself beat up / scratched up before every picture day!  These girls certainly know how to rough house!  I swear they are like boys sometimes!

That darn animal made yet another appearance......

Oh my - who in their right mind thought this picture was okay to send home as part of the package?  

Finally, a cute one!  

And there you have it!  I know I joke about how awkward my girls photos are - but I seriously wouldn't have it any other way.  School photos would be so boring otherwise.  Steve and I laugh and laugh and laugh every time we get their photos back.  We just know they are more than likely going to be a train wreck!  Once again, we were right!  

But hey, at least they are dressed adorable!  Dresses were purchased by Steve's cousin's wife, Maria in England.  Aren't they beautiful?

Anyone else have similar experiences with their kid's school photos?  

World's Worst School Pictures????



Do you ever wonder what it must be like to be a daycare / school photographer?  Probably not - because that would be weird.........  I can't imagine that it would be quote on quote easy, especially with the little ones.  BUT, sending home the photos below really threw me for a loop!  Steve and I have never laughed so hard.  I mean seriously - could my girls' photos get any worse?

Let's start with Lottie.............

I swear I sent that girl to school well groomed and a bow in hair!  But, looking at the photo below, she looks like she just rolled out of bed and couldn't be bothered to run a brush through her hair.  

And that expression on her face is priceless!  Surprised?  Frightened?  Amazed?  Bewildered?  Terrified? 

I've got a feeling from here on out, these types of expressions in photos will be more predominant than the sweet smiles and big grins of past.

Aaaaahhhhh - a cute one..............Although, I guess she decided to accessorize herself with those shoes and jewels.  She must have went back into her room after I left for work and took out her bow, changed shoes and added jewels.  I wouldn't be surprised if I got the photos back and she was in a different dress.  Steve takes the morning shift so it is always a surprise what they are wearing when I pick them up in the afternoon.  And that Lottie is such a little grown up now - she MUST dress herself!  Don't even think of picking something out the night before and laying it out for her.  She is not having it!

My "cry baby" - literally!  Sweet Stella loves to cry and it looks like she really gave those photographers an ear full. 

Poor old girl - she will soon grow out of it.  Right??????? 

Between the wild hair and facial expressions, the photo below really captures her little personality.  :)

And finally................... a photograph more awkward than the ones before it.

I hope your school photos turn out better than ours!  Although to be fair, I wouldn't have them any other way!  Well.............. maybe that's not entirely true!  :)  

School Pictures - Fall 2013



School pictures - I seriously can't get enough of them.  Yes, they are incredibly overpriced and I end up spending far too much, but I just can't help myself! 

 

This year Lottie decided to rough house on the playground the day before (go figure) and ended up with a little shiner on picture day. 

 

Lottie looked like she could have used a brush through her hair before her picture, but hey at least she managed to keep it up and bow in tow.

 

Stella on the other hand!!!!!!!!!  It's clear a melt down ensued when it was time to take her picture.  I tell you, the girl is a crier!!!  Ha!  Clearly the photographers had their hands full and attempted to take her photo as quickly as possible!  See said photo below.  Her rosy cheeks and full wet eyes tell the story.  She was not as pleased as her sister to pose for a few pictures. 

 

Without further a do...........  My sweet girls, one sassy and full of attitude, the other sweet and full of tears!  :) 

 

No matter how many times I pinch myself, I still can't believe this life I've been given.  Being a mom to these sweet girls is the best life I could have imagined for myself ever................

 



Lottie's Spring School Photos

Look at that hair!!!!!!!!  I know, I know - I have totally been procrastinating getting her a "real" haircut.  I felt like I have been getting by with trimming her bangs myself, but after looking at her school pics, I realize it is time.  I have a feeling this time next week, my kid is going to have a serious bowl cut going on!  :)

And don't mind that half bang she's got going on.  Steve does the morning routine - need I say more?

Besides that, I just don't think this kid can get any cuter!  Biased, I know.  Can't you just tell in these photos what a cheeky little personality she's got.  She is quite the little comedian!

Spring 2012 School Photos

These photos were taken about a month ago at school!  I thought they turned out cute!  How much do these remind you of the photos we used to have taken when we were young?  Hopefully Lottie's will continue to turn out cute b/c I remember by about the third grade, these photos went from being, "Awwwwww, how precious to Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, not cool!"
