Tonya: Hi babe, busy at work, wanted to know what you wanted for dinner?
Steve: Can I get some more tomato soup? (This was a joke, Steve was making fun of the dinner I had cooked the night before. I tried making a homemade marinara sauce and it ended up tasting like tomato soup! Disaster!!)
Steve: Got to go see a man about a dog later so might be late.
Tonya: What are you talking about? A dog?
Steve: Don't worry, dog will be home later.
Tonya: Are you going out for a beer after work - what are you doing? Confused.....
Steve: No, don't worry. I'll just be 20 or so minutes later than normal.
Tonya: You know how nosy I am - what are you up to?
Steve: I'm going to pick up a hockey goal for the garage. :)
Tonya: WHAT??????
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Steve: It's done. I'm picking up two goals for $50, but Mike wants one and he'll pay $30 so it is only costing me $20. These goals sell for $150 new! It's a steal. Oh and I'm also ordering the targets and pucks. I can't wait to have a shoot out in the garage!
Tonya: You do realize that I'm going to kill you later right?
Steve: Right!
And there you have it - this beauty now sits in my garage! Awesome! I've gotten texts and e-mails from a couple of guys this week who just can't wait to come over for Hockey Night at the Coopers. Hope you can tell how enthusiastic I am about this!

Meet Me at the Pumpkin Patch
Friday - last Friday was Pajama Day at day care. All the infants wore their pajamas including the teachers. Steve bought Lottie a pair of pumpkin pajamas a couple of weeks back. Let me just stop and say that Lottie has Steve wrapped around her finger! Every time he runs out for a quick trip to Target or Marshalls, anywhere - he always comes back with two or three outfits for Lottie. It is so funny. But I guess that is the thing with having little girls - EVERYTHING is so darn cute, you can't help it! He always says, "Well, I couldn't not buy my little girl something." Steve is going to be in TROUBLE when she gets older.
She was being a little wiggle worm, so couldn't really catch a still picture!
Snuggle time with Dad before bed on Friday night!
On Saturday, Steve spent most of the morning cleaning the garage out (there were so many boxes of diapers, etc. out there) While he was busy doing that, Lottie I and I went to visit my grandma. She has a big birthday coming up in November! 95 years old! I'll never live to see 95! :)
On Saturday afternoon, we grabbed a late lunch and took Lottie to the pumpkin patch to finally pick up a couple of pumpkins and of course get photos of Lottie!
She was just staring at the hay, not moving an inch!
Late Saturday afternoon, Steve continued to clean the garage and I went through all of Lottie's clothes that she could no longer wear and packed them away. I swear the girl has more clothes than I do and she is 8 months old!
After a long day, Lottie was bouncing away in her jumper while I was sitting on the couch working on a project. 10 minutes or so went by and I didn't hear a peep so I walked over to see what Lottie was doing and she had passed out in her jumper. I was dying laughing. She had her hands over her eyes and was out. Guess she was SLEEPY!
On Sunday, we tailgated with a few people that Steve used to work with. Everything was great until the game started. The stadium was FULL! I haven't seen the stadium that full since we were in the playoffs a few years back. The noise level was just too much for Lottie. It scared her half to death so we left right before half time and came home. Poor baby. She did so well at the last game we took her to, but then again, it wasn't near as full as it was this time around.
So looking forward to this weekend! My sister and brother in law are coming into town to see Lottie! My sister hasn't seen Lottie since Labor Day Weekend so she is DYING to get back home.

Happy Birthday to World's Greatest Dad!!
Thinking of a special DAD today - my Dad! Today is his birthday - he would have been 57 years old today. I could go on all day about what an amazing father he was and what an incredible relationship we had. He was the best man I've ever known.
For those of you who don't know, my Dad was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in 2002 (gleoblastoma). He was given 6 months to 2 years to live after we found out. It was terrifying for my sister and I especially since we lost my mom to Leukemia at such a young age (Amy was 11, I was 15). After 2 surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, Hospice, etc., we lost him on November 14, 2004. He fought a good fight and will forever live within my heart and soul.
If you were lucky enough to have met him while he was healthy, your first thoughts may have been, "WOW, he is as southern as they come." You would have also saw that he could have a conversation with the wall - he was a PEOPLE person. He was by all accounts the definition of an outdoors man. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, play baseball/softball, coach girl's softball, camp and tan (ha!). To sum it up, to call this guy DAD was an honor!
Each year whether it be on his birthday or date of his death, my sis and I grab a glass of vino, call eath other and talk about memories made and how much we miss him. He was our best friend - a dad and a mom, all in one and he did a damn good job at both. I only wish I could be as good a person as he was.

Can You Say Mama?
No, not quite yet, but don't think I don't ask her everyday if she can say it!
Speaking of first words - take a stab at what Steve's first word was....................... BEET ROOT
That's right Beet Root???????? How strange and oddly funny is that? I chuckle every time I think about it.
Speaking of chuckling, I finally took video on my phone and was able to upload it to You Tube. I guess photos will only show so much especially when it comes to laughing and babbling.
This is Lottie on Tuesday morning before day care. Turn the volume all the way up! :)

8 Months Old / Milestones
Lottie is 8 months old today!!! Happy 8 Months Baby!!!!
Milestones, Milestones, Milestones............. Over the last week, Lottie has desperately been trying to crawl. She positions herself on her belly and tries to reach and grab at anything in front of her. When she grabs it, she scoots her little bum backwards back into a sitting position. She will play with her toy until she spies something else that looks more entertaining. She then starts the process all over - belly, reach, back to sitting. This goes on for what seems like ages. Sometimes though instead of sitting back into the sitting position, she starts scooting backwards either on her bum or belly. When she is on the hardwood floor, she can scoot backwards for miles it seems!
I imagine that any day now our lives are going to change once again. For now, we can walk out of the room and know that when we walk back into the room, she is going to be in the same area. Speaking of which, I am in serious need of baby proofing the house. I've stuck the plastic outlet covers in the living room outlets, but need to finish the rest of the house. I also need to put the cabinet safety hinges on our bottom cabinets in the kitchen. I don't know why, but I've been putting this off for weeks!
Once again, this past weekend was very relaxing! We had dinner with the newlyweds on Friday night. On Saturday, we ran errands in the morning, stopped and had lunch and a beer, took a nap in the afternoon and decorated my front porch for fall. We finished the night off catching up with episodes of The Millionaire Matchmaker (sshhhhhh, Steve will kill me if I told anyone he watches with me.) Sunday was spent skyping with Steve's parents and watching football all day!!! It was so nice for the grandparents to see Lottie and how much she has changed. She is constantly laughing and saying "huh". She is such a little ham. I have a feeling she is going to be very comedic like!
Here are a few pictures to wrap up our weekend!
